Its time for.....

Another lesson in ettiquette........Featuring.........

How to Act at the Grocery Store 101

  • there is a speed limit in the grocery store and it isn't saunter
  • when your in the "can't find what I'm looking for mode...move the GD cart out of the middle of the aisle please
  • there is a time limit on how long you can stand and stare at the same canned goods, well maybe not but there should be
  • look around people, look around......and if you do look around, move the hell out of a persons way - please
  • Your cart does not move itself, when you are 5ft away and you see me moving it to the side and you say yeah just move it...um ok but how about you move it?
  • DON'T barrell out of an aisle and think its my fault for poor timing in trying to get by that lane.
  • No you may not jump ahead of me with your less than 10 items....go the hell over to the 10 items or less lady.....your life is not that much more important
  • Cashier lady for god sakes, if you can't multi task fast enough then shut the hell up..I'd rather you not talk to me if it means you can scan & bag quicker

There thats enough for today, until next time......stay safe

What would you do?

I have a co-worker who recently found out they were pregnant, he was so thrilled, unfortunately they didn't know prior to 3 months and they missed their first round of blood work and check ups, they went right into the ultrasound, then bloodwork.

2 weeks ago they received a call from their doctor (personally) saying he must speak with them. He called them at home and left the message, it was not until the next day while they were at work they connected with him.

The baby's mom was going into a conference to speak when she got the call.

The doctor explained that their graphs and points along with bloodwork is indicating there might be a problem with the baby.

That was all we knew that day.

They met with the doctor and it was explained they have a 1:200 chance of having an abnormal (downs) baby.

OMG! Mom is 30 years old, dad is 31, they are young, no history of this in their families......

They went on Monday for a 2nd ultrasound (3D with Dr. Butt) and she did not diagnose them any better, they now have a 1:36 chance. She says the indicators are on the lower part of the scale but not incapeable.

They were offered to do the amniosenticis (sp?) taking the fluid from the sac.

They refused.

They are going to wait until the baby boy is born and love him no matter what.

I could cry.

They are extremely positive and have made their decision.

No sense in knowing one way or the other, more time to think and worry. Why not expect the baby to be a baby and what may come will come?

What would you do?

Chip

We all know a chip, some of us have been a chip.

Do you know where this is headed?

Yep Chip on the Shoulder....like a nasty little bird pooping all down your back.

Chip! Chip! Chip!

When people you have to interact with on a daily basis has one it sure makes it hard to deal with.

Why is it when people are drowning they never ask for help? When they are burning out? Feeling misused or poor treated?

We all need someone to lean on but when we are really down in the dumps its the last thing anyone will do. Why is that?

A person will push back harder if they see someone trying to help them.

Its a cry for help but help is so hard to accept when you have that big of a chip. All you wish is that someone would see it and say something about it, but for those who see it and do not want to address it and just try to help receive a terrilbe back lash and those who don't see it look right through you and are shocked to hear anything of it?

I know someone at this moment on this path and it sucks. You think your a good enough friend to say something but I can't bring myself to pop the festering blister and have them burst.

I guess chip is going to stay a little longer until I get up my nerve.

humph

Do you know what makes me mad.....well many things but here is one instance.

People who go on and on about being busy, then says everyone else is busy too. I made the comment that with everyone busy that makes me busy too.

This person said "at least you have a job, lots of people don't"

Um yeah, nobody said anything about it, way to ruin a convo with a remark like that.

So I thought "whats up with that?"

This person trapped somebody else in the same trap convo...

huh? Weird.

Things I have Learned at Scrap Camp

  • Tricking a Trickster isn't that easy after all
  • Pranking a high strung person isn't such a good idea after all, but the laughs were pretty worth it
  • Glue dots are dangerous and can & will stick to everything
  • laughing until can't breath is not such a good idea, you lose much needed oxygen to your brain
  • showing up with a brail ruler is really funny?
  • cheaters never win
  • 1 person can make another person want to stab themselves in the eyeball
  • fake sucks
  • laughing with the girls is whole lotta fun
  • my reputation preceeds me
  • Scope will never freakin die
  • Missing part of our herd sucks, its not the same
  • my page kits rock
  • my arm is sore from Dee hitting me every time I said JC - that was a lot of times
  • Nick is a bad influence on me
  • Razzing your table mates is par for the course
  • Jay's one liners and obvious observations are super funny to everyone else but me?
  • Nick was concocting another get rich quick scheme - oye
  • It was time well spent with friends
  • teasing Dee and/or Pam is so much fun!
  • staying up late is bad for my health (so is Pizza) but I still did it
  • lack of sleep can kill a person (or just about)

I tried...

I spent my lunch hour trying to buy sneakers today.

I say "try" because I have cash in my pocket, I was ready to put it out and leave it behind so long as I found the right sneaker.

Alas, the Queen could not, due to the difficult and non-caring staff they hire. I started at one spot and tried on every sneaker they had, they really pushed one brand hard and everyone of those were uncomfortable, a sneaker should not be uncomfy, they are full of poop when they say it will be tight at first and will stretch, that is bull pucky!

I explained to the first staff member what I needed and was looking for, mainly support and extra cushioning (I am carrying a lot of weight on these tootsies ya know). This young buck said "its not cushioning you need"...oh really...what is it? He then turned around and said "this sneaker would have the cushioning that you need". Nice young man, nice!

The next girl was a NIKE freak! Nice but I'm not sure yet.....she just kept pushing.

I then went to a 2nd store where they had all the same stuff only higher priced, except one pair I really wanted to try on. The salelady comes up and says can I help you? I say "yes I'd like to try these on in an 8". She comes back and says "I don't have an 8 would you take a 9?"

I look at her, roll my eyes and say "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"

I used to love buying anything, now its not so much fun anymore, it is hard work.

I really want sneakers but those sales people keep getting in my way and I need them to go get me sizes out back.

Here's a thought, why not list what sizes you do have beside each one, that sure would narrow my search options down.

Stop That!!!

Read this: http://www.ktvb.com/news/localnews/stories/ktvbn-oct1309-dennis.211ca89f0.html

Are you as disturbed as I am by reading this? At Costco, I mean really? You could insert any public area and it would still be wrong.

Regardless of his occupation, albeit a teacher of young people should be pretty darn careful what they do for others to see, this is NOT something anyone should be doing in public places!!!!

Its entirely inappropriate to say the least. Maybe “Proper Etiquette” should be discussed in our school systems again?

Although I can’t imagine a teacher bringing up the topic of “Appropriate places/times to masturbate”, that just sounds wrong too?

Long Weekend

I love a 3 day long weekend. Although I am sad to say it is over.

Its been a busy one with a trip to KingsLanding, a trip to the USA for coffee and goodies, some Christmas shopping from the Wooden Magno and a day of cleaning and cooking so we could enjoy our turkey dinner.

I love Thanksgiving although I hate what happens after this holiday - snow!

We had ice pellets on our deck from last night, hubby says he was woken by them while watching the hockey game? Yes he said watching the game (through his closed lids).

Another week is about to start and I look forward to it.

Happy Thanksgivining Everyone!

Time, time, and more Time

I feel like time is passing me by. I'm going here, I'm doing this and that. I am literally the hamster on the wheel - again.

I love doing everything I am doing but this beautiful long weekend has me busy all over again. We had to figure out when to have Turkey.

Now its of no fault of anyone else but our own but I sure wish the weekend was longer.

Lets Talk About....

S E X !

I discovered this pod cast called "Cherry TV" and its hilarious....really women, if you have Ipods itunes)...check it out..you wanna learn a thing or two its very "educational". Guys have your lady friends check it out! Its for you own good. (wink, wink)

So I'm not sure whats going on this week at work but I have had more "sex" talks with co-workers than ever......about anything and everything.

You know how you are chattin' and then all of the sudden someone says something "intimate" - you laugh and then more info comes out....yeah like that.

I have one co-worker that is PeRvee, I am always shakin' my head at them. Nothing gross or anything just always has the brain in the gutter.

Now I am usually too prudish to make the comments but how can you help not to working with these pervs? They are funny....the stuff they say.

I had one guy come into my office yesterday and say "you want me", I said "yeah sure come on over here", he says "should I shut the door", I say "no you'll only be a few seconds anyway, you never take very long"...well the laughs and giggles that caused.....geez guys.

This morning we discussed what someone should name their shower head......we all agreed on "Skippy Beaver"....yep it seemed to fit.

'Vibs' are not off limits either......OMG! Our office is full of kinky, sex addicts....no wonder we have so much fun at work......(wink, wink)...LOL

I Want to Throw up....

Every single time the news comes on and they talk about that guy who killed his newborn infant son.

Each and every time they say he stabbed the baby boy through the heart and he explains the baby's body went limp almost immediately!

PHUCK! SHUT THE HELL UP! ITS GROSS, TERRIBLE AND FREAKS ME OUT THAT SOMEONE CAN BE SO SICK, SICK, SICK!!!

I have chills every single time I hear this. I started turning the radio off.

His "girlfriend" didn't want the department of SD to know, um why? why did she need to conceal it? If you have to hide something then there is a reason your hiding it, there is more to it.

Crack Heads! Idiots! Freaks! YOU KILLED A BABY WITH YOUR BARE HANDS!!!!!!!!

That tells me these 2 individuals were screwed up, for the BOTH of them to figure this would be a good idea....I mean really? Where is your logic? Your morales?

He did it because she was going to kill herself? Hmmmm I wonder why she was going to kill herself? Maybe because her life really was that insignificant - probably. She should have, if it meant the baby or her.

A baby boy (innocent I might add) was brought into this world so they could kill him. Do you know how many wanna be moms lie awake at night wishing so hard they could have a baby? Do you? No and you don't care! Bastards!

Give the baby to anyone, just don't hurt him, don't hurt him, don't hurt him.......I don't know the laws in this province to giving a child away but do it, let someone love him!

ok enuff, I can't think about this any second longer!
