Understand This

I am a person who is not much different than you. I have feelings the same as you do. Don't feel you have the right to do as you please when it comes to dealing with me.

Remember that bible phrase "do onto others as you've have them do onto you"...yeah well that still applies whether you like it or not.

I'm not sure why people feel they have the right to act like a 3 year old while the rest of us just sit back and say "oh poor poor pitiful you". I didn't do that when my daughter was 3, on the contrary, she was punished for that behaviour, this goes back to the point of STOP rewarding bad behaviour.

I'm sick and tired of people who just walk all over other people.

Give the head a shake. If your going to be an adult then act like an adult. Nobody wants anything to do with freaks, or self absorbed babies.

If you can't say something nice then say nothing at all.

Can you tell I'm not having a good day? Its Monday, I should have so stayed in bed this morning until Tuesday.

It goes back to those types of people who only talk to you when they want something. Nice.

People being nice and having common courtesy has gone by the way side, why? People just don't care anymore, they fail to put themselves in other people's shoes, stating their shoes are too full, well if you opened your eyes a little wider the grass is never greener on the other side, maybe just a different shade of green.

Parenting 101

I fully believe you should have to have a license to pro-create. No just any slep should be able to bring babies into this world, but even still we give idiots a license to drive so nothing is fool proof.

I am sick and tired of seeing people do terrible things, make poor decisions or care less about their children, their legacies, OUR future.

Children are little people in little bodies, but none the less they are people too. They are very smart (for their intelligence levels) but they still don't have the power to make the best coping, social and methodical deicisions, for god sakes how many adults do we know that can't make good decisions (my point here - adults who shouldn't have kids).

Now I'm not perfect (closer than others but not absolute :o)

If your going to have children then you had better be ready to sign on for the lifetime committement, don't think for one minute you get off once they become a certain age, these children are yours forever, your responsiblity. Kicking them out of your house or "writing them off" will not make them go away.

On Easter Monday in Nova Scotia a small suburb had some trouble with 4 kids all under the age of 12 who set some fires and other vandilism, the neighbours felt the parents should be responsible to pay for the damages and I agree to some extent. I think the boys should have to pay this back through community service, raking lawns, shovelling snow, mowing lawns or carrying fire wood. Either way they should have to see what the consequence for their actions are.

Thats the idea to parenting to teach our kids that for every action there is a consequence. But alas, there are adults out there that have no clue, they do something bad and say "what? I didn't do anything, why am I being punished"......

Hmmmm, I wonder why? No morales, no respect, no pride in your self? Answer All of the above.

beep, beep, beep

You know that sound when a big truck is backing up?

That is what I usually hear too.

You know that saying 3 steps forward and 2 steps back....beep, beep, beep.

Somedays just become too much for you?

Why is it when one thing goes wrong it seems everything else seems to get in line?

You know those automated telephone numbers, the pressing of numbers is ok but when they want you to say a word......well I called a company today who had the voice one.......press #1 for software, 2 for techincial advice, 3 for other, I say "other", it says ok, state your issue, I say "billing", it says "we do not understand what you speak of"......sure you don't! UGH!

I've been having such a bad morning and to top it all off I had 3 different voicemails, when I dialed in to get the messages each time, I dialed and it rang and rang - even my own voicemail was failing me, I had to hang up and re-dial. I couldn't even get answers from my voicemail - geesh! I think its a conspiracy?

You know you should have stayed in bed when?

4 days too many

Lets just say it right now for the record, I will never be a SAHM!
I love my child to death but 4 days home with her chitter chatter and questions has me over a barrell, I give, I give please tear my finger nails off but stop talking. AUGH!
I have played numerous games of Crazy 8's, Old Maid, Go Fish, Monoply Jr., DS, War, and Dora Headbandz. I'm so gamed out, I swear to god I'm going to chant "go fish" in my sleep!
So today I took on a new approach, with the 3 new puzzles the easter bunny dropped off I thought we'd give that a try. There was 100 pc, 24 pc and 50 pc.
The 100 pc took about 30 minutes with some help, the phone rang a few times and voila within another 30 mins she had the other 2 put together.....well that summed up one hour of our day, nice.
When she asked to go visit her grandmother it took all I had not to jump up and down and scream YES, YES, YES.......so I some what not so quickly grabbed the phone, dialed and had her ask to come over...........(I thought she would NEVER answer that phone!)....of course she can come.....woo hoo! "grab your coat kid we are going next door".......
Now she is trying to convince me she needs to stay up later, being a holiday day and all....um yeah....nope, go to bed NOW!
night, night, kiss, kiss, love ya.....school & work tomorrow - yipeee!!!!!

Ramble Bamble

Here are a few of my current notices.

Yesterday was Good Friday, for any good catholic its "Fish Friday", our local restaurant's special said "Good Friday Special - HAM Dinner". In a community full of Catholics! A new owner who isn't Catholic I'm guessing? Who knows?

Snow, snow, snow, hubby refuses to even clean it up now, we still have the back hoe/loader that is going home tomorrow, hubby is going to have dad clean it up with that. Less effort on his part :o)

Monday night they are saying will be -22 C. Its the end of MARCH, that weather is only acceptable in Jan/Feb!

Its Easter this weekend, we are buried under 13 ft of snow.

Our local ski hill has commercials on the radio and they are BOASTING about the 13 ft of "natural snow" that we have had this year......I want to poke him in the nose.

Why is when you dye easter eggs a child will almost spill it?

Wood heat is nice but damn its HOT!

Husbands/Boy Friends will always do the opposite of what you ask? Then aplogize later for not listening.

Kids will always do the opposite of what you ask? Then aplogize later for not listening.

How will the bunny make his way to our house without freezing his fluffy arse off?
I can't wait to eat the caramel eggs I have ready to hide.
Going shopping with a 6 year old today who has her OWN money, any takers on who much fun that might be? She has a list and it is long, longer than the money she has.
My 6 year old at this moment is picking out her "shopping" outfit and purse to accessorize with
My camera batteries are dead
I need more Scrapbook supplies, I'm running LOW
My birthday is next month.
I'm going away for a girls only weekend.
I need new summer clothes, no I WANT new summer clothes
I want sun, I'm going to tanning again.

6 more weeks

The weather man says we will have 6 more weeks of snow & winter.

Count em'......1-2-3-4-5-6 more weeks, that is 42 days more of winter.

Can you believe it? I almost fell over, I did have some choice words for what I thought of that bearer of bad news. My jaw dropped open, I almost freaked out but I ended up cursing under my breath and talking to myself saying "can you believe it? 6 more weeks, whats up with that, we don't need anymore freakin' winter....grumble, grumble".....

I am not a happy camper, not one little bit. I can't even go camping and that makes me mad too!

I think I might burn all of my winter clothes when this all ends.....that is how "done" I am with it all.

Doncha?

Doncha just *love* it when your proven right?

I'm patient, I can wait as long as it takes to be right, the sweet taste of victory is the best taste of all.

My hubby and I had a spat 5 years ago over our septic system.

I wanted to go the preventative maintenance route of having it pumped before we had any trouble, he on the other hand so don't bring troubles onto yourself, it may never happen.

Guess what? The Septic company arrives tomorrow morning to pump it.

We've struggled with water drainage the past few weeks, the last straw was when the bath water ended up in the washing machine last evening.......that was my last straw!

As I wrote the cheque out tonight I said outloud "I told you so, I told you so, I was right and you were wrong".........

So I won right? Right? Wrong my septic system doesn't work well, nobody wins when you live in the same house - DUH!

Not my Fault

Yes this is a phrase that I'm certain most of you are aware of, or here is one even better...

"I didn't do it"

It makes me want to scream. Ok so you didn't do it, you didn't technically do it but hello out there? If there are only so many people, for instance lets say living in your house and there is garbage (wrappers) left on the table, then someone of the 3 must have done it right?

Righto!

The instant you ask "who did that" (keep in mind you KNOW it wasn't you) the other 2 people say "wasn't me, I didn't do it, its not my fault".......

Yes so fairiest flew in and dumped their shit on my table? Nice, even the fairies are out to get me!

Puleeze People! I didn't fall off the turnip truck yeterday!

Meow, Meow

Last night while lounging around my kitty comes up and says in kitty lingo "hello, pet me, I'll sit down for you"....

He has this really fine, soft hair that won't stick to him, thank goodness he grows hair fast because there would be nothing left of him, it would be all over our floors.

So long story short...

While rubbing, rubbing my boy the hair is flying in the air and dammit, got the hair in my eye.....what a catastrophe.........now my eyes are red and hurting and filling up and driving me nuts!

Damn cat....if I didn't like him so much I would kick his furry but the curb.

Concoctions

This morning my co-worker came into my office shut the door, turned around (so I faced her butt) and said "can you see anything?"

Me: What am I looking for?

She turns around and shows me a 2 inch rip in her jeans in her groin area.....oh boy!

It was a perfect straight line, she was concerned that from the back it could be seen and everything would be hanging out for the world to see.

I said "thats no problem, grab me the tape gun". The look on her face.......it was priceless has she watched me rip off a small piece and I said "bend over".......

I put the tape over the rip to prevent it from ripping any further and to help her hide it.

She was amazed at my ingenuity.......puleeze, that is nothing, really.......

I proceeded to tell her about using staples to keep the hem of my coat in or rolling packing tape up into little rolls to hold the seam of my dress jacket together or I've gone as far as using a glue stick and the heat of my hands to keep a blouse or pant hem from coming completely out.

When you are stuck you do what you have to do and so long as nobody knows and can't tell, all is right with the world, as far as they know.

Letter to Always Maxi Pad Company

This is an actual letter from an Austin woman sent to American company Proctor and Gamble regarding their feminine products. She really gets rolling after the first paragraph. It's PC Magazine's 2007 editors' choice for best webmail-award-winning letter...

Dear Mr. Thatcher,

I have been a loyal user of your 'Always' maxi pads for over 20 years
and I appreciate many of their features. Why, without the LeakGuard
Core or Dri-Weave absorbency, I'd probably never go horseback riding or
salsa dancing, and I'd certainly steer clear of running up and down the
beach in tight, white shorts. But my favorite feature has to be your
revolutionary Flexi-Wings. Kudos on being the only company smart enough
to realize how crucial it is that maxi pads be aerodynamic. I can't
tell you how safe and secure I feel each month knowing there's a little
F-16 in my pants.

Have you ever had a menstrual period, Mr. Thatcher? Ever suffered from
the curse'? I'm guessing you haven't. Well, my time of the month is
starting right now. As I type, I can already feel hormonal forces
violently surging through my body. Just a few minutes from now, my body
will adjust and I'll be transformed into what my husband likes to call
'an inbred hillbilly with knife skills.' Isn't the human body amazing?

As Brand Manager in the Feminine-Hygiene Division, you've no doubt seen
quite a bit of research on what exactly happens during your customer's
monthly visits from 'Aunt Flo'. Therefore, you must know about the
bloating, puffiness, and cramping we endure, and about our intense mood
swings, crying jags, and out-of-control behavior. You surely realize
it's a tough time for most women. In fact, only last week, my friend
Jennifer fought the violent urge to shove her boyfriend's testicles
into a George Foreman Grill just because he told her he thought Grey's
Anatomy was written by drunken chimps. Crazy!

The point is, sir, you of all people must realize that America is just
crawling with homicidal maniacs in Capri pants... Which brings me to
the reason for my letter. Last month, while in the throes of cramping
so painful I wanted to reach inside my body and yank out my uterus, I
opened an Always maxi-pad, and there, printed on the adhesive backing,
were these words: 'Have a Happy Period.'

Are you f------ kidding me? What I mean is, does any part of your tiny
middle-manager brain really think happiness - actual smiling, laughing
happiness, is possible during a menstrual period? Did anything
mentioned above sound the least bit pleasurable? Well, did it, James?
FYI, unless you're some kind of sick S&M freak, there will never be
anything 'happy' about a day in which you have to jack yourself up on
Motrin and Kahlua and lock yourself in your house just so you don't
march down to the local Walgreen's armed with a hunting rifle and a
sketchy plan to end your life in a blaze of glory.

For the love of God, pull your head out, man! If you have to slap a
moronic message on a maxi pad, wouldn't it make more sense to say
something that's actually pertinent, like 'Put down the Hammer' or
'Vehicular Manslaughter is Wrong', or are you just picking on us?

Sir, please inform your Accounting Department that, effective
immediately, there will be an $8 drop in monthly profits, for I have
chosen to take my maxi-pad business elsewhere. And though I will
certainly miss your Flex-Wings, I will not for one minute miss your
brand of condescending bullshit. And that's a promise I will keep.

Always. . .

Best,
Wendi Aarons

Whats a girl to do

When your morning starts off with a battle of the head strongs?

It started out with me waking up grumpy and not wanting to leave my warm cozy bed, but the news was over and hubby says "gotta get up". Our darling daughter crawls over and goes head first into my stomach - ooooouuufff!

That darling child doesn't want to get dressed, she wants to stay in bed too - our bed. Whatever!

I hear whine, snivel, whine.....wah!!!!! Ignore, Ignore, Ignore

I'm sure daddy will soon come to her aide. Sure enough he did - Eureka, how did I know this? Must be a mind reader.

Voila she is dressed. She is eating breakfast.

Daddy goes to start the vehicle, comes in and says next time you drive the vehicle turn the wiper blades off, its the Maritimes where is snows and freezing rains, the blades were left on the windsheild and when I turned it on they tried to move, now their bent.....way to go!

Ignore, Ignore, Ignore whats a girl to do on a day like today?
