No! Not me! Don't get all cute or nuthin', totally not me.
We have friends who have been good friends for at least 10 years if not longer, we played ball together, partied together, you name it.
This couple has 2 children, who at the time were 6 & 2, boy and girl.
The little girl who is the older child struggled in school and the little boy was quite a handful (it was always chalked up to being a boy), the girl on the other hand the teachers stepped in and said "she should be medicated" and wouldn't you know the meds brought her right down off her ADHD? Or whatever they want to call it.
Through the years she has left home, been terrible and her parents blamed themselves, said it was their parenting and they both took course upon course on parenting, they spent many nights in night school at UNB and so on.
Fast Forward to 10 years and about 4 mths ago this little girl had a baby girl by a man, I said MAN (who is almost 10 years her senior) who has been married before and has no job or none to speak of that I can gather? She is living with her parents, graduated from high school (barely) and has a baby 4 months old.
I see just now (her baby is 4 mths old I said) and she posted on her FB that she is PREGNANT AGAIN and happy about it!
Holy Phawk!
Are you mental? Really? For the f'ing love of god please! Did you ever think who might support these children other than everyone else but you my dear child? You are a child raising a child, what the hell?
I am flabbergasted! AND to top it all off, people are congratulating her! Are you f'ing serious people?
I want to say "what a shame". That would be my response, sorry to hear that are you giving it up to a family who can raise it and afford it because grammy & grampy have no more rocks in the backyard to ring out on you?
Ok I'll jump down from my soap box but all I can say it is that young woman has a lifetime of difficult days ahead of her, because if she thinks that loser jerk sperm daddy is going to stick around to see these kids through their first 18 years of life she is sorely mistaken.
Forever is never forever!

U Spin me Right Round Baby - Right Round!
People are the following:
Inconsiderate
Uneducated
Rude
Unsensored
Nosey
You name it. Lately I've come across all kinds.
I am selling stuff on kijiji and these fools truely think nothing of offering me $5 for something I have $20 listed on. I stopped replying to those messages, not worth my time one little bit.
I had one person ask me if I had anything else to sell because they'd like to have first dibs...well how about you look at what I already have then we'll talk?
Another told me they could buy something I had cheaper on E-bay I offered they go right ahead, enjoy the duty and shipping charges! They bought from me!
Then I have the others that I need to say are wonderful, so easy, fast and polite. Genuinely recognize a deal when they see one. Those are the people who make it way easier to sell to.
I have received personal messages and FB notes asking me if I'm getting out of crafting all together? Nope, totally not, I just am not using the stamps and inks and they are going to waste so I might as well receive some of my return back and use the money for other gains in my life currently.
What really hurts is the fact I have spent close to $1,000 in the past 7 years on those supplies. Holy Moly!

Let me Tell U
What the hell is up the clothing industry? I mean really, why the *F* can't you get your sizes standardized, who are you fooling, really Double 0? What the hell, its nothing!
It would be nice to know exactly what f'in size a person is because I am sick and tired of going to rack and feeling really good about myself knowing I can wear a 14 and then trying the fuckin' 14 on and can't get it past my thunder thighs! That is just cruel!
I went to Value Village yesterday becuase everyone else is sick of watching me yank up my pants or watching them fall off of me.
I went ready to the dressing room, I tried on 13, 14, 15, 16's, I had a huge arm load and came out with 4 items that fit, 3 pairs of capri pants whose sizes were 13, 14, 16. What a stupid thing to do, make all those sizes different, my body is the same but my pant size is not? um why not?
Then I made the huge mistake to try and find a pair of jeans, I wanted to run out of the dressing room like I was on flaming fire!!! Likely with the f'in jeans around my f'in ankles because in the jean world I also have fat ankles too! Oh and even fatter calfs! Which would have only sent me face first into the dirty VV floor trapped under the kids clothing rack with stupid skinny jeans around my ankles and bright yellow panties to be seen by every person there!
I was so pissed off by tring on jeans yesterday, and no I did not find jeans to fit my fat ass!
I don't care what anyone says, size does matter, there is a reason Jerry Seinfeld cut the tag out of his jeans. It wasn't because he was vain, it was because the jean companies and every fashion person out there kept fucking up the sizes!!!

4 Real?
People really do suck don't they? How rude, ignorant, idiodic can people be? Then they are all allowed to go out and pro-create, just like that.
Snap! Kids, you idiots should never be allowed to teach kids anything.
Sunday night this happened and I am still pissed off!
For those of you who have never volunteered, you have no idea what kind of time it takes away from me nor what is involved to make anything successful by, it takes up my time, energy and lots of stress!
Sunday night we had a game, it was a fabulous game. After every home game and practice we have treats that are supplied by the local businesses or parents such as popsicles, freezies, fudgcicles, etc.......
We had a parent donate a full box of XL Mr. Freezes, 70 of them, we cut them in half for the kids, they are now all gone and we are going to move onto popsicles, by the way, my freezer if full of treats for the kids and I can't put my own food in my f'in freezer, but who really cares right?
So Sunday night my DH was packing up equipment, crouched down on the ground when a kid and parent walk past and must not of haven seen him, do you know what they said? You are never going to guess.......they said:
"all that work for half a freezie"
DH turned around but all the parents and kids were standing there so he isn't sure who it was, I was livid when we got home and he told all of us coaches what was said.
It was a mother who said it.
You ungrateful bastards! If it weren't for the kids I'd totally not be doing this, other teams don't do that, when I was a kid you paid your money for the coach to teach you how to play ball not to babysit your kids and give them treats!
I'm still pissed.
The phone calls to coaches and businesses, ordering trophies and ball cards, planning and doing line ups, practices, etc......really????
PHUCK!
Please someone make me feel better!

Dreaming
I am dreaming of my vacation, I was suppose to be starting my vacation today but we ended up changing everything because we received a fantastic deal on a condo and couldn't pass it up so I now have to wait 3 more weeks before I have some time off.
My DH is in the back yard building a sugar shack today with his day off, what is a sugar shack you may ask? Well its where you produce Maple Syrup. Yes, he is building a little shack where he has a steel drum stove and a great big pop that the lines attached to trees will drain into the pot and boil. In the past years we've only tapped a few trees and made enough bottles for ourselves and a couple for family.
Basically DH wants a place to have some men hang out and drink. A guys hut if you will.
We also made a fire pit in our back yard. I say we but not really, it was all him. We had friends out Saturday night to enjoy a bonfire and roast mashmellows and make s'mores. It was a lot of fun until it rained on us but that was fine, the cool water felt great.
Stay cool my friends! Enjoy your week.

Monday & the days prior
Good Morning Blog World!
It is Monday again! How did that happen so fast?
I am not going to complain about the rain, it allowed me a full day at home yesterday, I never went outside once, not once! I got lots done, had a nap and enjoyed the day!
Saturday the kids softball tourney was cancelled due to rain, some parents were a little suspicious because it wasn't raining when they cancelled, but lo n' behold by 9:30 it was pouring! Good Call Coach Bobby!
I suggested to DH that we skip over to houlton so I can get some Green Mountain coffee and 100 calorie bagels, he then suggested lets go to Presque Isle and take your parents, they want to use their new passports! *Groan* ok!
My Mother! April calls it babysitting, I call it annoying. That woman puts me on edge before she ever arrives. She talked the entire trip over, when we were in Centreville she kept saying over and over that these people celebrated on July 4th, I said "where do you think we are mom", she said "USA of course", I said "do you recall giving a nice uniform man your passport yet", she said "no did I miss him", I said 'um no, we are still in C-A-N-A-D-A", she also questioned if he would give the passport back to her? Um yes.....(she was serious)
When we drove through Florenceville I pointed out the McCain Factory to her and she said "why is there one here? I thought they were only in Florenceville? "MOM we are in Florenceville"
OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have no idea how many mindless stories she told me about this person and that person whom I have knowledge of them what so ever, although I should know them, even though they just moved back from timbucktoo only years ago because they went to school with my older brother, oh yes those people, yep know them.
Me reading a book didn't even slow her down, she kept right on talking and asking questions. Good Grief.
We purchased bats for the little kids, we were in desperate need of new bats, I told her what we were buying them for, she picked them up from the trunk to move them and said "M they are awfully short for you aren't they, how do you bat with those", I looked at her stunned and said "MOM I already said they aren't for us", "well who are they for then, why did you buy bats your not going to use", DD finally piped in and said "grammy they are for my team".....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
OMFG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
On the drive home through Bristol she says "Jack are we in Millville?, nobody answered her, until DH says "nope we are coming back the way we came, this is Bristol", she says "oh I never been to Bristol before" Really never?
I know some of you are laughing your arse off thinking of all those other past stories about my mom and I. I am thinking, how sad is it that I get that upset when I am around my mother even before she arrives? While I have friends out there who are best friends with their mom, or no longer have a mom to go to? My mom and I have never had the relationship like some of you were or are so lucky to have. I have never been able to confide in her or ask her questions, half the time she can't remember my name (seriously).
I am green with envy over the mother/daughter relationships you all have with your moms! You are so lucky, I feel like my mom is an alien beamed down from outer space, she is a shell of a woman who has no beating organs inside her body. It is all make believe and her sole purpose is to annoy the hell out of me because we are so different.

The Other Side
I have been spending every single weekend at the barn. My DD is in love with the girls and horses and owner of the barn, Saturday had us at the barn at 8:30 AM and I had to drag her out of there at 1pm.
That darn kid would not leave, just one more stall mommy please, just one more horse to lead mommy please, just one more to feed mommy please! OMG kid!
Her toe got stepped on by one of the baby horses and she never came crying to me? What the heck? She didn't want me to make her go home! Her toe is all green/yellow from the baby horse.
Her "mentors" calmed her down and told her she was ok and that happens, if the mom horse had of stepped on her it would have been way worse, that made her feel better - go figure?
Then as she finished her lesson Gunther wiped his tail and hit her right across the face and in her eye, that made her cry, I was in the barn and missed that too (good grief) they put the cold hose on her face and that made her feel better.
I have to say these girls at the barn are very common sense, they don't get upset easily and they really are fabulous role models to the younger girls. They don't mind hard work, they love the outdoors, pain comes with the hard work and are very friendly.
ahhhh! This is the kind of girl I want my DD to be.
